My initial work experience was with young children. Working with kids, has taught me about the primacy of human emotions, and about the significance of our relational needs.
I have extensive group therapy experience from my years at the Casriel Institute in New York, with the late Dr. Daniel Casriel.
I also have had the following training and influences:
-Gestalt Therapy and Gestal Dialogical Relationship with Suzie Lanir in New York and Lynne Jacobs from the Pacific Gestalt Institute
-Voice Dialogue with Anna Ivara and Drs Hal and Sidra Stone.
-The Empowerment Workshop with David Gershon and Gail Straub
-Albert Pesso and Diane Boyden and their Mind-Body Approach to Emotional Well Being.
-Gesrshen Kaufman Ph.D. from Michigan State University-I learned about the significance of Shame from Michael Morrison who has been studying the work of Gershen Kaufman Ph.D and has invited Dr. Kaufman to lecture in New York City in Autumn 1994.
-Mindfulness Practice - The Community of Mindfulness in New York.
I have trained and supervised other psychotherapists and have led many Emotional Education workshops, both here and in Israel, with my husband Michael Morrison.
It is impossible to quantify both the substantial contributions and the subtle influences of my partner and husband Michael Morrison.
He has been a catalyst with his questioning mind and with his enthusiasm to create several dozen collaborative workshop presentations.
Most of all, I learned from my clients.
Through people's courage to expose their innermost feelings and thoughts, in spite of shame or embarrassment, I have come to understand and appreciate the personal human struggle. I am moved by the many ways people find to bring meaning into their lives and find satisfaction in spite of adversity and misfortune.
Finally, I bring to the work my natural spirit of optimism, and my confidence in the human spirit to prevail, to be more at ease with oneself, to find contentment, to laugh & cry and be fully alive.
